Social Responsibility

SACA has established a social responsibility fund which will be used to assist cricket related causes primarily. South Africa’s professional cricketers in the Proteas team and the six franchise teams recognise that they have a role to promote cricket in all communities throughout South Africa and to provide opprotunities to the poor and underpriviledged, where cricket is followed. Grants will be paid from the fund to worthy causes in line with these objectives.

SACA will also consider applications for benevolent payments to be made to players, ex-players and their families. Examples of instances in which such payments may be paid would be when the recipient or his family is suffering exeptional financial hardship or the recipient requires financial assistance to meet the costs of uncovered medical expenses.
