SACA MVP Overview

The SACA MVP (Most Valued Player) is a measure of all round professionalism applied to Franchise players in South African professional cricket. It combines a player’s on-field performances in batting, bowling and fielding in the three domestic competitions with his results in the Player Fitness Rankings. The on-field performances are recorded in the SACA Player Rankings and this counts 90% towards a player’s final position in the SACA MVP. The remaining 10% is derived from the Player Fitness rankings. Players are incentivised through bonus payments to strive for continuous improvement in their on-field performances and fitness levels.
